My mom bought Carson this little baby pool and so when we are back at her house, it's perfect for a quick swim! He absolutely loves being outside! And as you can tell by the pictures, he loves being in the water as well!
Last weekend we headed to Boji for the first time allll summer! It's the end of June and if feels like summer has just begun! I was really excited to see how Carson would react to the boat! He didn't so much dig his life jacket but he was pretty entranced but all the boats in the water when he was up high enough to see them. Thank goodness my parents were there to help out with him! He was a little stinker. Lately he has been getting into EVERYTHING! We will turn around for a minute and he will be into something that he isn't supposed to be in. He does this army crawl and he can move fast! Gabe and I just giggle because we know that we have our hands full. . .and it's just beginning!!! :) Here are a few pictures from the weekend!
So we haven't been to an outdoor pool yet this summer but Carson did experience his first swimming pool last weekend at the hotel while we were in Sioux City for Brandon and Erin's wedding! He was getting a little sleepy and ready for his morning nap but he LOVED IT! His legs didn't stop moving the entire time; he was like a little frog! I'm super excited to go to the pool this summer! He LOVES being outside and LOVES the water!! Here are a few pictures. . don't mind me with my morning hair and no shower! :)
So I know it has been FOREVER since my last blog. . .my friend Bethany keeps reminding me! The last 2 weeks have been CRAZY with ending the school year and Gabe's brother's wedding. Today was officially my 1st day of summer vacay. . YAY!
Soo. . rewinding back to last week. . . there was something different going on at school each day and it was so spastic with all that we were doing and that had to get done before I left on Thursday that it was all a blur. Gabe and I headed up to Sioux City Thursday afternoon--we got to the Marina(hotel) just in time for us to check in, change clothes and then we were off to Jefferson, South Dakota for the rehearsal supper. For those of you that do not know where Jefferson is at, it's only about 10 miles outside of Sioux City. The rehearsal went great and then it was off to eat some great food! We were all in bed fairly early since we all had a big day Friday. I was up at 6 a.m. Friday morning, thank you Carson! We headed out to get our hair done about 11. After our hair was done it was back to the hotel to grab our stuff and then off to the church to get Erin in her dress for pictures! She made an absolutely beautiful bride. Side note: I was the maid of honor and Gabe was the best man!!! So fun! After the 7 o'clock wedding, the bridal party jumped in our SUV stretch limo and were off to the reception. The minute we arrived at the reception it was speech time. . .yikes! I was so nervous, but it went well and everyone seemed to enjoy it! :) Gabe's speech went well too--he wrote a poem for the couple. . .he's so poetic! (He writes me poems for special occasions. . .love them!) He even got asked by Erin's grandma after the speech to join a poetry group! HA! Too funny! Brandon and Erin just had a cake reception. . no meal. It was perfect and they also had a chocolate fountain. . HEAVEN! After cake it was straight to the dance and I danced all night long. It was sooo much fun. . . had to take naps with Carson all weekend to get caught up on sleep! I am so lucky to be part of such an amazing family! Congratulations Brandon and Erin!
I took. . . or should I say my camera took 172 pictures this weekend--rediculous!! I am too tired to upload some to the blog tonight. Promise to post a few pictures tomorrow of the fantastic weekend!!!
