Leah's 10 month pictures!

On Saturday, my friend Bethany came over and I took a few pictures of her daughter Leah.  Our plan was to do 9 month pictures but the time kind of got away from us so we did 10 month pictures!  Leah was a lot more active than she was at her 6 month pictures but we still got some adorable ones!  I am really considering getting a backdrop for taking pictures.  It's hard to find places to take pictures in the house when you can't go outside!

Birthday Tradition at Joe's. . .

This is the 4th year now for our annual birthday supper (my dad's birthday supper) at Joe's Crab Shack!  It's hard to get us all together on a Saturday night with my sister living in Spencer and working all hours of the week but she got a few days off and so we planned it!  We girls headed into Des Moines a little early to get some shopping done since we never get the oppurtunity to shop together anymore and the guys stayed back while Carson napped and headed in after he woke up.  As usual it was delicious food and we left stuffed!  Carson was so funny and so intrigued by all the lights strung around and the big shark that was hanging from the ceiling.  The guy that goes around and takes pictures was around 3 different times taking pictures of Carson!  He was pretty entertaining!  Carson even tried something new. . fish. . . and LOVED IT. . but i guess what doesn't he love. . he is a bottomless pit! :)

Purple Orchid Fun!

Two weekends ago, Gabe and I headed to Sioux City for the annual Purple Orchid Basketball Reunion (don't ask about the name. . it is an inside joke among us girls that played basketball and if you really want to know the story, ask me sometime!) Anywho, we dropped Carson off with my parents and then drove to SC for the night. We went to a basketball game and all commented on how old we feel and if anyone else looking at us thought we looked old. . ha! After that, we headed downtown for the night. It was so much fun and I so miss my GIRLIES! There were some that couldn't make it and we missed them but it was a great night spent with best friends!

Saturday we woke up and decided to make the trek to Vermillion, SD to see Gabe's brother Brandon and wife Erin's new house.  They moved in a few months ago and we had yet to make it up there. They have such a nice home and it was so good to spend a short time with them!  While we were there, one of my friends from high school came over with her new baby that I had not yet met!

Bath Time!

So I finally got a video of Carson at the end of his bath!  Whenever we ask him if he is ready to get out, he drops to his stomach.  Obviously in the videos below we played along with it longer than we would typically do, but just had to show you what a goof he is!

SnOw BlOgGiN!!!!!

First SNOW DAY today!  I was very excited and was ready for a random day off! :)  We got out at 1:30 yesterday so it was great to be home for the afternoon as well as all day today.  Gabe decided to go out and snow blow our driveway to get the first layer off after we both got home from school yesterday.  I decided it would be fun to take Carson out in his little Carhartt's to be just like Daddy!  HE LOVED IT!  In fact, he threw a fit when we had to come in! :)
