Summer?!?!

Is it summer yet?  The temperature has sure felt like it and I'm loving every minute of it!  We have been enjoying the outdoors the last few days.  Today after school, Carson and I decided to hang out in the warm weather--I tried providing a shady area for my pale baby boy.  I brought out a bucket of water for Carson to play in and he was LOVIN it!  Daddy came home from Wal-Mart and he bought us a blowup pool!  YAY!  We filled it up just enough to dip his feet in and it was freezing but he didn't even care. . he couldn't get enough!  I have a feeling Carson is going to LOVE the boat this summer!  P.S.  LOVE my new camera!!!

20 random things. . .

So thanks to Jill and Sarah I decided to join in and share 20 random things about myself!  Good idea Jill!  Here you all gooo. . .

1. I absolutely positively love being a Mommy and a Wife!
2. I love exercising—walks are my favorite! I can’t wait for school to be out so Carson and I can go on walks daily.

3. I am a sucker for sun. In the summer, I love to get as tan as I can get! Love to boat and spend lots of time in BOJI!

4. As Gabe would say—I am UNORGANIZINGLY ORGANIZED! May not make sense to you, but it makes complete sense to me—I may not appear organized but I know where everything is at and everything has its own place.

5. I am deathly afraid of snakes—am getting better—don’t break into tears when I see them anymore!

6. I love pedicures, they are heavenly!

7. I try to have only 1 pop a week.

8. I am destined to have babies until I get a girl!

9. I feel I am truly blessed with the most amazing family!

10. I don’t like to cook, but I love to bake. . . when I have time!

11. My favorite color is PINK!

12. My bedtime is around 9:30 or before—depending on the day! Last night it was 8:45—I know--pathetic!

13. I love birthdays! Its one day of the year that is YOURS! I think everyone should do something special on their birthday to celebrate. My birthday is Saturday and Gabe and I our going on our 1st DATE NIGHT since Carson's been born!

14. Gabe and I have been together for over 10 years. . married for almost 2!

15. I ALWAYS have to have desert after a meal—something chocolate preferably—I even settle for chocolate chips some nights!

16. I usually have a snack after Carson goes to bed—my pick these days is a spoonful of Skippy peanut butter!

17. My husband spoils me ROTTEN! Even after being married. . .my parents still do as well!! :)

18. I love to go places for the weekend but what I dislike is packing and unpacking—it also seems like we have twice as much stuff coming home than we did before leaving—how is that possible?!?!

19. I love taking pictures—Gabe just got me a brand spankin’ new camera for mothers day/my birthday/our anniversary! Yep, SPOILED! Can’t wait to start snapping photos!

20. I LOVE babies! I have always been a baby hoarder . . .and since Carson, I haven’t gotten any better—whenever there are babies around, I am sure to get a hold of them!

YAY. . .It's Friday!!!

Friday has FINALLY arrived!  It has been a long week but I'm so ready to relax and hang out with family this weekend!  Carson's 6 month appt. is this afternoon!  I will be sure to post details afterwards!  These 2 pictures just make me laugh. . Grandpa Rick and Carson are way excited it is Friday as well!!! :)

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day (a day late) to all you Mommy's out there!  I had a fantastic day and was able to spend it with all the amazing and wonderful Mom's in my life!  I came up with a bit of a creative idea for Mother's day and if you know me, I am NOT very creative in terms of making things! :)  I decided that Carson was going to paint a pot for both our moms and for my grandma. Gabe and I first started off by painting clay pots yellow.  My original idea was to have Carson's handprints and footprints all over them.  Well, that idea didn't work so well.  He wanted to play with the pots. . .  so that is exactly what we had him do!  I squeezed 2 different colors of puffy paint in each hand and he went to town on the pots!  It was a disaster and it took both Gabe and I to keep his hands and everything else out of his mouth but they turned out so cute! :)  After the pots were dry, I covered his feet with yet another color and attempted to place footprints on the pots.  I even planted the pots with flowers. . . had to ask the lady at Walmart what would look good together! :)  Here is the finished product! :)

Carson 2 minutes into painting. . .he was much worse by the end but we were too frazzled to snap pictures by then! :)

4 Generations of Love!

6 Month Pictures!

Today was Carson's 6 month pictures. . . even though he is about 6 1/2 months old.  It is always hard to get him to open up and smile to a stranger with a big camera in his face but we did get a few good ones!  I like to get his picture every 3 months so we go to JC Penny's because they always have coupons and are cheap!  They do a pretty descent job as well.

Big News Today:  Carson has his 2nd tooth popping through on the bottom. .YAY for Carson!!! (Not so YAY for Mommy--as this may mean that nursing may be coming to an end :(
