WOODY

The title made you want to read this one, right?!?  Well. . . I don't know where your mind is right now, but probably not where this is about to go!  Tonight, we ran to Wal-mart to get a few groceries and of course we always have to check out the TOY section!  We were actually looking for a boat because Carson has been saying that a lot (my parents have a boat and Carson always has to go with my dad over to the building to see it when we are back home).  Anyways, not so much luck on the boat but we did find. . . . . .WOODY!!  Carson has pajamas with Toy Story characters on it and he always points out Woody when he's wearing them so it was only fitting to get him the real thing! :)  He loves his Woody. . loves pulling the string to hear him talk. . and loves Woddy's hat. 

It was only fitting to put him in this Woody pajamas tonight and get some pictures with his new Woody from Daddy!  I also caught a video of him telling us where Woody's eyes, ears, nose, and feet are!  Too cute!

Weight Check Update

I forgot to inform everyone of Carson's weight check.  We went back to the doctor on Friday and he weighed 24 pounds--up a pound from where he was at 2 weeks prior.  He weighs in at 23 pounds on our scale, but doctors' scales are always a little different.  Dr. Markham said everything looks great and he doesn't need to see him again until his 18 month check-up.

A few things: Carson has been saying "mine" a lot when he is playing with his toys--must be getting that at daycare.  He has a vocabulary of at least 50 words--he knows everything!  He is starting to throw a few tantrums here and there(crying) when he wants something that he can't have.  He will try and push his limits doing things he knows he isn't supposed to be doing!  We are still loving every minute of parenthood and think Carson is quite entertaining!  Love our little man! :)

Meeting Baby Parker!

This past weekend I went back home to my friend, Sarah's, baby shower!  I was so excited to meet baby Parker  and of course see Sarah!  While I was back I got to see some other friends that I hadn't seen in a while.  My friend Katie came over to my parent's house before we headed to the shower because I still hadn't given Landon (her baby) a baby gift!  Landon was a trooper but Carson wasn't so interested in hanging out with him as you can see by the pictures below!

I know Carson isn't really a baby anymore. . but he is still my baby!  I took Carson to the doctor this afternoon because he has had this awful cough all week and has been super fussypants!  We were at the doctors for 2 hours! Yikes. . . I know!  We always get right in but after the nurse was done with us she came back to inform us that our doctor had just went running off to deliver a baby!  So we just hung out in our room and played.  After about a 1/2 hour he was back and checked Carson out.  Doc wanted a few labs done. . so Carson had his throat swabbed for strep (negative), his nasal swabbed for rsv (negative), and his blood drawn for his white cell count.  After MUCH screaming, it turned out Carson's cell count is lower than it should be.  The reason why doctor wanted to check this is because Carson has lost 5 pounds since his 15 month checkup which was only 2 weeks ago.  That is huge loss for someone that tiny(well to me that is a huge loss)!  At his 15 month checkup he was 28 lbs. and today he weighed 23 lbs.  Scary for this mommy who knows nothing about anything medical.  Doctor wants to see him in 2 weeks again to check his weight. 
So the diagnosis: viral infection--which has to take its course--10-14 days. . .so hopefully by next week he is feeling and sounding much better. . . and GAINING WEIGHT!
Poor little guy. . . been very attached to mommy all week. . . and getting lots of LOVE and HUGS from mommy as well!

Snow Days!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE snow days!  I love being home with  my boys and not having to go to school!  Tueday I was very productive and cleaned our entire house!  Today, however, we did nothing and it was GREAT!  Here are a few pictures from our 2 days of fun at home!
