Keeping Cool!

These pictures are a few weeks old, but thought I'd share what most of our days consist of if it's hot!  This was even before we got the bigger pool out of storage so it may have been longer than a few weeks! I never think to take my camera outside when the boys are playing in the water!  We also have a sprinkler so that is nice on hot days too when we haven't warmed up the pool water!
The boys LOVE the water and play really well together--MOST of the time! :)

Drink breaks!

If we have to potty when we are outside, this is usually where it is! Thank goodness we don't have many neighbors that can see in our backyard!

Just Like Daddy!

I just LOVE how my boys always want to be JUST LIKE DADDY!  Daddy was even smart enough to color coordinate bandanas to match the boys' shorts! (I doubt he did this on purpose, but it made me smile!)

4th of July fun!

Gabe and I headed to the Okoboji on the Wednesday night before the 4th for a nice long weekend as a family! This was our only sort of vacation this summer so we were soaking up family time and loving every minute of it!  There are huge flea markets over the 4th so we made sure to check all 3 out while we were up there! We even managed to seek out some great finds!  We boated, went mini golfing, hit up the candy store in the emporium, ate at our favorite place on the lake, Bracco, visited Arnold's park and enjoyed our favorite frozen yogurt joint, Bon Bon's.  It was a very relaxing weekend and the boys had a lot of fun! Carson really worked on his casting skills and is ready to reel in his big catch next time! The boys also love golf cart rides around the cabin area so we went on plenty of those as well!    Here are just a few pictures I snapped over the 4th! Enjoy!

Boat time!
Sitting with Daddy on the back of the boat

Decided they needed their life jackets on before even leaving the cabin! Whatever works!
Carson was brave and jumped in to Gabe- just didn't want too far from the boat!

Kellen wasn't sure what to think of the water!

Family time on the boat
Grandpa and Grandma came on Sunday so we stayed to enjoy some boat time with them!

Carson decided he needed to just rest like Gabe was! So cute how he wants to be just like him!
chillin!

Kellen had to get his turn in the captain's chair too!
It was a very wonderful and blessed weekend!

Growing Mommy!

So it's been a VERY long time since I have blogged! Shame On Me! Truth is- I always like blogging with pictures because they are the best part and my photos haven't been uploading properly on my computer- but no worries- I got it figured out and so here we go again!

I thought I'd post some pictures of my journey of baby #3 so far.  This time around it's been quite a challenge to get pictures of my growing belly regularly.  It's just not on the top of my list and after going through my pictures and seeing how LITTLE of them I took of my weekly milestones, it kind of makes me sad.
I'm currently at 31 1/2 weeks and feeling pretty good.  I get easily worn down and am tired after chasing my 2 crazies around all day; but overall things have been going really well and my doctor says that I look perfect!  I had a doctors appointment today and scheduled my c-section for September 4th- that is if this little peanut can wait until then!  I'm praying these last 8 or so weeks go smoothly.
You would think with this 3rd go around, I would be completely ready, everything organized, ect. . .but their not!  I'm hoping I start to nest soon and have things ready for baby before to long!

I have been getting a TON of comments and looks lately from complete strangers when we are out and about!  I find it kind of amusing! They will look at the 2 boys and laugh and 'aw' over them and then look at me and give me the 'whoa' 'holy cow' 'another one' 'your crazy' expressions after realizing there will soon be 3 of them! :)  It's entertaining and I just smile back at them with my 'I've Got This' look! :)

So don't mind the randomness of these pictures or the random drawings and scribble creations that the boys like to create on our chalkboard wall! They were all taken spur of the moment, leaving the house after coaxing Gabe into taking a quick picture!  I will try a little harder these next 8 weeks to capture my growing belly (if it's possible that it can get any bigger)
