19 weeks

So a lot of my friends love to know what "fruit" or "vegetable" baby baughman is the size of each week, so I will try and post this each week--and YES, I will include a picture BR :) No need to be confused!
This week, Baby weighs in at 8 1/2 ounces and is 6 inches long. Baby is the size of a large heirloom tomato!

Next Friday is my 20 week doctors appointment with ultrasound so stay tuned to new information--like how much MORE weight I've gained!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Gabe and I had another busy busy weekend! After school on Friday, we took off for Okoboji. Dad had supper prepared and on the table as we arrived and it was delicious! After supper, we had fun eating my chocolate covered strawberries that Mom and Dad had sent to school for my birthday! They were amazing!! Saturday we were all excited to head out on the boat. . then it started raining. The sun did come out about 3:00 so we all jumped on the boat and went for a cruise. Sweatshirts were needed but the sun was great!


Sunday morning, Gabe and I headed back to Adair to do some landscaping--well, Gabe had to do some landscaping! :) Gabe's parents and grandparents came down for the day and it was a lot of fun. Gabe's grandparents live in Florida during the winter so this was the first time we had seen them since last fall!

Monday we headed back to Kirkman for a Memorial Day luncheon with Gabe's family. It was Dena's birthday too--she is 14. ( I remember when she was 6 and I would carry her around--how time flies) So watch out on the road if you see her behind the wheel. Scary!

Graduating

This past weekend, my sister Christin graduated from Simpson College! We headed down to Indianola early Saturday morning for the ceremony. We are so proud of her for accomplishing what she has. After the ceremony, we headed into Des Moines and celebrated with her by eating with a bunch of family members at Granite City. Yum!
She graduated and moved into a new apartment all in one weekend! How overwhelming! She will be working at the Buckle training for assistant manager but gets this week to take a few deep breaths before she starts her new adventure!


We are heading up to Okoboji this weekend--crossing our fingers it is nice and warm and NOT RAINY! :)

Gabe has 2 days left of school and I have 8 days left of school! Counting them down and getting ready for summer!

Exciting News!!!!

Gabe and I got a phone call tonight from his brother Brandon and girlfriend Erin. . . THEY ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!! We are so excited for them and can't wait for the planning to begin. . well, I can't wait for the planning to begin. They are both living in Jefferson, South Dakota and Erin has been waiting for this day for quite some time! They are looking at next April or May and it's possible we could be traveling. . .possibly Vegas! Time will tell but for now, that's all we know!

17 weeks:
I am 17 weeks pregnant today! Baby Baughman is 5 inches long this week and weighs in at 5 ounces! Its about the size of a turnip! Our little one is growing like crazy and so am I!! Everytime I look down, I think my stomach has grown. So many exciting things going on in our life!

Baby Update!!!

So I know a lot of you have been wondering about the baby so I am updating all of you. First of all, I am in my 16th week. I can't believe it's been 4 months already. . I'm almost half way through. I had my 2nd doctor's appt. on Friday. I heard the babies heart beat!! 154 beats per minute this month! It just brings a smile to my face because this is all so surreal to me, it is so exciting to hear that little person inside! Since last month, I have gained 8 POUNDS!!! 8 POUNDS. . . in 4 weeks! yikes! I asked the doctor if that concerned him but with me, he said he wasn't to worried. I have gained a total of 12 pounds so far. I think that is quite a bit since he wants to see me gain between 25-30 pounds but he's not worried so neither am I! The baby is good and so am I so that is all that matters! Next month is the ultra sound! Gabe and I can't wait to see our little bundle that is growing inside of me!

I would like to wish all the mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day!!! It was such a great day! Gabe and I got to spend it with both of our moms who mean so much to us! We had a brunch at my parent's house this morning with my mom's side of the family then headed over to Gabe's parent's house to spend some time with them. Gabe gave me my first Mother's Day card--it was so sweet--it was one of the singing ones---and the song with what he wrote--I CRIED!

Crazy Busy!

It has been so crazy lately! I have been meaning to blog since Monday, and I am just getting to it now, Thursday night, at 9:22. . . already past my bedtime!
Rewind back to this past weekend. . . last Friday I took a 1/2 personal day and met up with bff Julie and my sister for a day of shopping!!! It was so nice and it was great to see a long lost friend!!! It just seems so hard to get together anymore which is silly. We are starting monthly shopping trips. . .right Julie?!?!



Friday night we met up with my mom, aunt Paulette, Grandma, and grandma's sister Faye. They all came down because we were going to Women of Faith on Saturday. We ate at Cheesecake Factory. . .needless to say their salads were ginormous!!! Below are what Grandma, Faye, and Mom attempted to eat!


Saturday was great! It is so spiritually uplifting going to Women of Faith. Last year was my first year but I enjoyed it just as much this year and can't wait for next year! They had some amazing speakers and performers!

This week has been crazy busy! It has flown by and I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday! We have another busy weekend ahead of us but I am looking forward to it! I have my 2nd doctor's appt tomorrow so everyone will be receiving a baby update and pictures very very sooon!!! PROMISE!!

But as for now, I am heading to bed!! This mommy-to-be needs her precious sleep!
