Carson is WALKING!!

It's official!  Carson is walking. . everywhere!  He was taking steps and walking here and there for the past month.  This past week, though, it seems like that is all he does.  He barely crawls anywhere anymore; he walks everywhere like such a big boy!  I have tried to get him on video and it's like he knows that I'm taping him because he will just plop down.  I did get a few in action though. . ENJOY!!

Summer. . ending. . NOOOO!

Sorry for my lack of blogging but school has officially started . . . meaning. . back to craziness and absolutely no free time!  Teachers went back last Thursday and kids came today.  It was so hard to leave Carson again and it will definitely take some getting used to.  I know he is in good hands but I just hate not being with him all day and only getting a few hours at night to spend with him. 
He is doing fantastic at daycare. . Mommy is not doing so fantastic being away from him!

Not much else to blog about at the moment.  I'm too tired to think!  I never like posting without pictures. . so here are a few from a couple weeks ago when we were at my parents house and Carson was loving the John Deere tractor!

Carson LOVES bath time, but trying to get him dressed after his bath. . . that's another story! He is so squirmy and won't even lay there for me to put a diaper on him most of the time.  So the other night I just let him loose and he decided just to crawl over and start playing with some toys.  So what do I do?  Run and grab the camera!

1st Hair Cut

So tonight I decided it was finally time to give Carson a hair cut!  It has been growing over his ears and it sticks out all the time. . it's pretty bad when I have to "tuck" it behind his ears! :)  So I got out my handy dandy hair scissors and outside we went with Daddy!  He was the entertainer while I cut away.  I just cut the sides and the back; the top of his head isn't that long.  Carson has such blonde hair you can barely tell he has any hair most of the time but he actually has a lot.  I think he has more hair now than I did at age 3!  Trying to get a before picture wasn't working so well so I am just going to post one of a few days ago.  He never sits still so the "after" picture is after his bath.  Carson did fantastic for his first big boy hair cut!! :)

DADDY'S HOME!!!

Daddy is HOME! Gabe has had a huge week and we finally were able to hang out with him tonight!  He has had 2-a-days all week along with still working so he leaves at 7:30, has practice until 10, goes to roof from 11 until 530 then back to practice from 7:00 until 9:00.  Carson was missing his Daddy like crazy.  Carson went to the door or window 3 different times today and looked out and said. . dada.  It was so cute but made me sad that Gabe wasn't here. 

After supper tonight, Gabe and Carson were playing and Carson was walking back and forth between couches.  Gabe started playing this game with him. . Carson would take off towards me and Gabe would say. . "I'm Gonna Get YOU"  Carson would lunge towards me while Gabe lunged after him and "Get Him!"  It was HILARIOUS; I just had to get out the camera and catch this game in action!

Boji

So after our fun day in Storm Lake, we headed up to the lakes!  My sister got off work around 5 so it worked out that we both showed up at my parents cabin at the same time!  We decided it was a perfect night to go boating so we boated over to BRACCO, our favorite place to eat on the lake!  I hadn't eaten there all summer so was super excited about it!  Carson was such a trooper.  He is seriously the best baby when it comes to going places.  He just goes with the flow is so good!  He doesn't so much like boating but didn't mind this trip at all!  He laughed at Daddy most the time.

Sunday it was beautiful and a perfect day for the boat!  My cousins were up in Boji so they came over and boated with us.  Mom wanted to stay back and hang out with Carson so we just let her. :)

Visiting the Wiebers

Last weekend we went up to Boji and we decided to stop in Storm Lake over night and spend time with our amazing friends Jenny and Eric!  Gabe got rained out on Friday and didn't have to work so we headed out earlier.  We spent Friday evening hanging out.  Eric grilled some great food and Jenny made some amazing dips!  The kids got aquainted and Jalen seemed way more interested in Carson than he was his own brother.  Carson just took it all in and accepted all of Jalen's toys he was giving him!

Satruday morning we woke up. . early!  Automatic alarm clocks went off around 6!  Jenny fixed stuffed french toast for breakfast. . AMAZING!  The babies went down for a nap around 10 and Jenny and I headed out the door. . .she went and showed me her new business. . Wiebers Fitness!  YaY!  So proud of my Bestest for all she has accomplished!  The place looked awesome!  We drove around Storm Lake while she pointed out a few other places and then headed back to her house.  After our boys woke up from their naps, Eric grilled up some more delicious food!

After lunch is was off to Kings Point!  We had a great time!  The boys played in the water and we did the lazy river a few times.  It was so great to hang out with Jenny and Eric and the boys!  Jenny and I have always talked. . . since high school . . .how we would do family bonding together when we both have babies and it is just beginning!  Can't wait to start planning another outing with the Wiebers!  We miss you guys already!  Love you all!
