Carson's Birthday Party!

Where to even begin!  I should break the birthday posts up because it seems I have so many photos but we will see how it goes.  Lets rewind back to Sunday morning!  The birthday morning started off by Carson waking up about 7:45 and hung out in Mommy and Daddy's bed until about 8ish.  Gabe's brother Trav and his gf Lindsey and my sister and my friend Julie all had stayed over night Saturday so we all eventually got motivated to shower and get ready for church.  Off to church we headed. . my parents met us there.  Halfway through church my mom turns to me and says, Carson is a mess.  Oh boy, I grab the diaper bag and out the back door we go.  I think he is cutting teeth because his poopy diapers have been really runny lately and yellowish.  Well. . it is everywhere. . yes. . alll over his birthday outfit!  My dad meets us at the back door and states that the poop had squirted out the top of his diaper and was ALL over the pew and his jeans.  Oh just wonderful! I throw him the diaper wipes and mom and I wrap a spare shirt I had in the diaper bag around Carson's waist and carry him down the steps and to the truck.  We had to go back to our house and get him cleaned up and changed while we threw his clothes in the washer so they were ready to wear again by his party! So that was the first excitement of the day and his party hadn't even started.  He was probably just so excited, right? :)
After church, we got home and gave Carson a bottle and laid him down for a nap so he was ready to go when people arrived.
The party wasn't until 1 but a lot people came early which was kind of nice because that way everyone could eat in shifts!  We were truly blessed to have so many amazing people at the party that just adore Carson.  He was so spoiled!  He wasn't much into opening presents. . after the 20th one; he was however loving the gifts once they were out of the wrapping and tissue and wanted to play with them .  I was that mom that threw it aside so he could open the next great gift!  After present opening, however, Carson was able to play with all his great new toys!  He got a ton of John Deere toys. . he LOVES tractors!
After present opening, we moved to CAKE!  I was excited to see what Carson would do with the cake.  He wasn't to impressed with getting down and dirty.  I had to help him out and when I put his hands in it, he wasn't quite sure what to do or how to get it off of his hands.  I put some in his mouth but he gave an awful face and spit it back out. .  . . .my baby. . doesn't like sweets?!?!  Definitely doesn't take after his Mommy!
So if you are not in a hurry, scroll down and enjoy the photos that were captured throughout the day!
