Big Boy Bed!

This weekend we were on a mission to find Carson a new toddler bed for his birthday--which isn't for another few weeks.  Finding one was a success but not sure I am ready for all this yet!  Yesterday Gabe had it put together and was on a mission to completely re-organize his entire room to make space for his new bed. Little did I know that Gabe had the intention of getting Carson in the bed yesterday and taking away all crib access.  This mommy was a little sad and hesitant--but not Daddy--he had everything moved around and ready for Carson to take his nap in his new bed.  He even moved the crib springs up so it is ready for the new baby (and so Mommy couldn't try and put Carson back in it!)  Carson did awesome at nap time and he went to bed really well last night as well.  I tucked blankets on each side of him and lined the floor too just in case he were to roll out--I know it's not far to the floor but just to be safe!  

Every time I woke up last night, I went in and checked on him to make sure he was still in bed.  I know. . . I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing! The first time, about 2:30 this morning, I went in and he was sound asleep ON THE FLOOR next to his bed!  Little Stinker!  I don't know if he rolled out or just got out and laid on the floor!  I moved him back to his bed and then woke up again at 5 and went in and checked on him--this time he was still in bed but was laying a way that his feet were dangling off the side of his bed.  This morning when I went to shower he was completely sleeping opposite of his pillow!  All in all. . it was a VERY successful night of sleep in the big boy bed!  Hopefully every night gets a little easier for this Mommy-- I can't believe how fast my little boy is growing up!  A few more weeks and I will have a 2 YEAR OLD!

For those of you that don't know. . Carson is OBSESSSSSSSSSSED with Toy Story right now!  He has his own Woody and Buzz and has all 3 Toy Story movies!  We have to watch 'Woody' when we get up in the mornings and when we come home at night!  So when we found this toddler bed set, we couldn't resist! :)
