28 weeks

28 weeks and 1 day pregnant!  12 weeks left. . . I can't hardly believe it!  I had my 28 week doctors appointment today and Doctor said that I looked Fabulous!!!  I have gained a total of 2 pounds this month and the babies heart beat is 130's. . . a lot lower than last month!  Baby Baughman has been very active lately!  It has been so fun to see my stomach move and feel the baby kick and move around.  This week, Baby's weight is as much as a chinese cabbage and it's about 15 inches long.  Enjoy the weight comparison!

Boji vacay and more

I have not blogged in what seems like forever!  So I am going to update you on the last couple of weekends.  Last weekend, I was in Okoboji with my dad, mom, and sister--Gabe couldn't join us because he had a basketball team camp.  Saturday was a bit chilly on the lake ( I was in a zip up sweatshirt all day!)  Christin, however, didn't mind that it was chilly because she was in the water skiing and tubing with her friend Luke--brr!  Sunday was sunny so it was a bit more enjoyable!

This past Wednesday, Gabe and I headed up to the lakes for a mini vacation.  This is the first time all summer that Gabe has taken time off--he's a work-a-holic!   We had such nice weather!  We were on the boat everyday-- basically alll day!  We would head out about noon each day and wouldn't come in until 7:30 or 8:00!   It was fun to have "us" time because it seems like we have barely seen each other all summer!

My hot husband:)

Gabe's family came up for the weekend and joined us.  Saturday we went out boating--it was soooo windy though and cloudy pretty much all day--but on the bright side, it didn't rain!!!  Sunday was beautiful and we spent the afternoon boating around West Lake soaking up the sun!
Saturday, Gabe's little brother turned 21!!!  So we all helped him celebrate!  Below are pictures from this past weekend!

Lindsey made Trav a beer can cake!  Very Creative!

Since we were in Okoboji, I wasn't able to update you all on Baby Baughman!   I am 27 weeks and 4 days.  I am still feeling fabulous and the baby is very very active!  I feel the most movement in the morning and at night.  It's so fun!  Baby Baughman is almost 15 inches long and weighs in around 2 pounds.  The weight this past week is being compared to a head of cauliflower!

26 weeks!!

So, here I am, 26 weeks pregnant already!  I have been feeling great and the baby has been kicking a lot harder lately!  I have to share a quick story from a couple nights ago.

So, Gabe decided he wanted cookies at 9:30 at night, and he said if I made them he would help me--he added the butter and eggs and ate some dough. . thanks honey!  Anyway, I get to sleep in everyday anyway so it was no big deal for me to be up late.  We sat at our counter and played cards while our cookies baked!  What an exciting  night at the Baughman house, right?

I decided to go lay in bed and skim through this book of baby names we bought after we were done with cookies--all of a sudden the baby went on a wild kicking spree--it was so hard and I didn't only feel it but could see it.  I was sooo excited I yelled at Gabe to hurry up and get in here, the baby is kicking really hard and you can see it. . . wellllll. . .I think I scared our precious little one because by the time Gabe came in, the kicking stopped!  whoops!  I told him just to wait a little while so we were both laying there and he went to put his hand on my stomach-- about that time, he felt and we both saw a huge kick!  Baby knows Daddy's touch already! :)  The sweet little memories already!!!

Ok--and the vegetable comparison of the week!
Baby Baughman is as long as an ENGLISH HOTHOUSE CUCUMBER! Enjoy!

Boji Weekend

This is the first chance I have gotten to blog since last week--whoops!   I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th!  We headed up to Okoboji on Thursday night hoping to get some great sunny boating days in. . .boy were we wrong!  Friday morning we woke up to clouds and it rained off and on alllll day--so my dad, mom, Gabe, and I went to a flee market to waste some time--found some great buys by the way!  We got back about 6 and it wasn't raining so I had this idea of heading out for a boat ride!  We boated over to the Gardens for some FRIED PICKLES!!!!  YUM!  We got back about 8:30--just in time for the rain to start coming again!  Since we couldn't sit by the fire, we all played scrabble!  :)  Gabe's brother Brandon and his fiance Erin came up for the weekend so when they got there Friday night, we played a few card games!  It was a lot of fun.
Gabe's other brother Trav came up for the weekend with his girlfriend Lindsey--and we were ALL hoping for a Sunny Saturday--didn't happen.  It was cloudy allllll day and we were in between blankets and putting on sweatshirts off and on all day--BUT, we boated to fireworks that night and it was a perfect night for that!

Trying to stay warm on the boat!  Brandon was a brave soul with his shirt off!

My parents. . . we were missing my sister--who had to work :(

The weekend wasn't over yet, right?!?!  Sunday we woke up and we saw SUN!  YAYA!!!!  You would have thought we woke up and it was Christmas morning because we saw the sun.  We spent the day on the boat and it was . . in my dad's words. . "A TOP 10 DAY on the lake"  We even got into the water; I thought i was going to put the baby in shock because it was so cold but it got better after a couple of minutes.  What a fabulous weekend! :)

Swimsuit shot!

Gabe was trying to make his stomach as big as mine!  Nice try huh!

Gabe hasn't seen sun on his stomach allll summer!  Thank goodness for the sun on Sunday!

Brrrr!!!!

Other exciting news this week:
My mom came out and helped me paint one of our rooms--I did it in Safari Sun--I LOVE IT!  Next week she is coming out and we are painting the nursery--I'm going with a neutral color for that though so I can add my own spunk in decorations--after we know what we are having.  Still haven't looked in the envelope!

And last but not least, I'm 25 weeks pregnant and when looking at what vegetable that baby baughman compares to this week, I could barely pronounce it!  But here you are--this is compared to the baby's weight this week.

6 months

I am 24 weeks---6 months!!!  I can't hardly believe it!  It has gone by sooo fast and I have felt fabulous so it's been a breeze.   I don't have a picture, but will have some after this weekend so BEEEEE watching!!!  I had a check-up today.  They did the glucose screening test which wasn't bad at all except I had to have my blood taken twice--yuck!  I don't like needles but I got over it!  I have gained 4 pounds this month--making that a total of. . . 22 pounds so far!  Doctor says I'm right on track.  The babies heart rate was 160 beats per minute---any guesses?!?!?!  Gabe and I still haven't opened the envelope; I am very proud that we haven't.  It's fun right now not knowing and it's almost like a game to me!

photo from the past

So, since I changed my background, I HAD to put up a picture that fit with the theme!  Unfortunately, I have yet to take a picture in a bathing suit this year so I am posting one of Gabe and I from last summer---OH HOW MY BODY HAS CHANGED!!!!  We are heading up to Boji for the weekend so I promise to get a picture and display that one. . . MAYBE!  Enjoy the little me for now!  And I will soon have a picture of big me! :)
