Hot Stuff!

Just had to share these pictures. My Aunt Judy bought this little pepper onsie for Carson when he was born. The hat even has a stem! Wow! I know! Had to have a mini photo shoot to capture the outfit!

Funny Baby!

This past week, Carson has been doing these funny squeals and his face is so funny. Every time I go to video tape it, he looks at the camera and stops doing it! Little Stinker! I did catch it a few times on this video so enjoy!

It was a very relaxing weekend for us and it was great to be able to hang out at home as a family! Here are a few more pictures I captured this weekend!

A New Beginning

Yesterday, my sister left Des Moines and traveled to her new home in Spencer! Starting Monday she will be the new manager of the Buckle in the mall there. It is a bit scary picking up and leaving friends and a place where you have become comfortable with and starting over. She is renting a duplex and she says that she loves it! My mom and dad are helping her move in this weekend. We are sooo happy for her and so proud of her accomplishments! It is a bit sad that she won't be so close to us anymore though! I am going to miss her terribly. . but looking at the positive--summer is just around the corner (I know, hard to imagine with all this snow) and we will hopefully be up in Boji tons so will be able to spend lots of time with her! Christin, wishing you the Best of Luck! We love you so very much! Carson is already missing you . . . and so is Mommy!

Stinker!

So our little man does not go #2 everyday but that is normal for him. Well, it has been since MONDAY since he has gone last. This morning I was hoping he would wake up with a full diaper but no such luck! He was very quiet all morning like he was trying to go but never did. When taking him to daycare, I warned Renae that she could have a surprise sometime today!

I get a text from Renae about 8:10 saying "IT happened"
I text back "YAY! blowout?" (funny how you get so excited over your baby pooping!)
She texts back " That is an understatement. Lindsay (her daughter) said Fire In The Hole"

Before I tell you what she texted me next I have to tell you about this little boy that also goes to daycare. His name is Jack and he is 4 years old and he is too cute and always has something to say when I drop off Carson.

This is what Jack said of Carson's poop incident: "Oh, that's freakin me out!" :)

Renae said Carson was smiling the entire time she was cleaning him up and changing him! AGAIN, what a little sTiNkEr!!!!!!!!!

ADORABLE!!

After school today I get a text from Renae, who watches Carson, and it's a picture message but it doesn't open. So I quickly text her back saying that I didn't get anything and she re-sent it! OH MY GOODNESS! It was sooo ADORABLE I just had to upload it quick! Carson is laying on the floor and Renae's daughter Hayden is next to him. He is grabbing her arm like he wants to hold her hand (she looks like she is wondering what in the world he is doing!?!) Renae said that he had the biggest smile on his face too! Gosh, the things I miss! :)

Hayden is so stinkin' cute! I love that Carson has playmates! Hayden, however, is 2 months older than him. . never would have thought, huh?!?! She actually weighs about a 1/2 pound LESS than him! I know, I have a monster!!! :)

Too Funny

This past weekend Gabe had a football clinic so Carson and I ventured back to my parent's house. Saturday we hung out all day and then went to the IKM-Manning girls 1st round district game--they won big! After the game, we went out to eat and then headed back home (to my parent's house) Carson had been sleeping all through supper and the entire ride home and so when I took him out of his car seat to get him ready for bed, he was the entertainer! He LOVES being naked! I took off his clothes and was going to put his pj's on when he started kicking, laughing, squealing. . .it was soo funny! We were entertained for about the next 1/2 hour! I had to get out my dad's camera because it was just too cute to miss! Here are a few shots!

How our little stinker started the day!

So let's rewind to last night! Carson was getting a bit fussy and it seemed like he was a bit hoarse and looked like he didn't feel the best so about 7:00 I decided to give him a bath, feed him, and put him to bed! The last couple of nights I have put him on his back and he just starts crying and so I try rocking him to sleep and laying him down again. . and crying again. So I turn him over to his tummy. . no more tears. . sleepy boy! He always takes his naps on his tummy but never at night when we are all sleeping. I know you aren't supposed to put babies on their tummies, but if he wants to be on his tummy, I am going to let him be on his tummy! So anyway, he fell asleep about 8 and slept until FIVE O'CLOCK this morning! This is huge because the last week and a half he has not slept the greatest!

Back to starting the day! I get Carson up to change him and feed him and he has completely peed through his diaper so I yell to Gabe to assist in changing the bedding. About this time I get a phone call that we have a 2 hour late start. . WHOOO-HOO! After feeding, I lay him on his back. . again starts crying so I roll him to his tummy. . .content as can be! I decide to go back to bed and set my alarm for 7:30 thinking Carson will never sleep that long but I can always hope, right?!?! Well, to my amazement, my alarm goes off and Carson is still sound asleep. . the little stinker slept until 8:30! I pick him up and he has completely peed through his nighty AGAIN and his hair is completely matted and crusted to his head from spit up! Oh Boy! I yell to Gabe to start the water and I quickly bathe him. I decide to take Carson to the couch to get him dressed since I was already ready and the bathroom floor is so small. I am putting lotion on him when I hear this splatter sound on the coach. . . OH NOOO! I yell to Gabe again. . . Carson has just peed all over our couch (thank goodness it's leather). So after the pee is cleaned up and he is finally dressed, it's time to feed him before heading out the door! What a morning! Thanks to my wonderful husband for assisting in all these little surprises this morning! :)

By the way, I love being a Mommy!

Sioux City

Last Saturday, we ventured to Sioux City for the day. The last couple of years (since we graduated college) we pick a Saturday and head up for a basketball game. All of us alumni bball girls enjoy watching a game and getting caught up with each others lives. I felt like it was such a rushed day but it was soooo good to see so many friends. We got there a bit before the game started and stopped at BI's house. Her and BR got their Carson time and then we headed over to Kayla's, another friend, for some snacks! We all met up there and then headed to the gym! Morningside played Hastings College, who is number one in the nation and they BEAT them. It was a great game. By the end of the game, Carson was screaming and it was time to get out of there. After the game, we went back to BI's for a bit. Vanessa then got "HER" Carson time since she didn't get enough of him at the game! It was so funny to see V and BI argue about who got to hold Carson next and who had him more. I told them next time I would just have twins so they each get a baby! HA! After BI's, we went out to eat with Gabe's brother Brandon and fiance Erin. We ate at Olive Garden. . YUMMMO!!!!! Carson was soo out of his routine and was not able to take a nap so needless to say. . it was a long weekend with hardly no sleep--for Mommy and Carson!
